There was a sudden, "science fiction sound-effect" *GLOP* and I dashed in without considering how silly I was being - it was all being sucked down out of sight.
By the time the plumber rang my doorbell I was well on the way to having the bathroom clean again, I had time to wonder how I was going to explain - but apparently there is a big manhole outside and he had unblocked the pipes from there...
