Saw specialist about arms. XRays; right elbow needs operation (hopefully under nerve blocks. More on this later.) Specialist seems sympathetic about adjustments to stop it being worsened.

 Might be chance of win7 laptop. Could anyone give me opinion on this OS? Updating by kindle is not easy.  Wish I'd taken it with me today, though. I was at the Hospital at the crack of dawn but didn't get home until about 4pm.

This kitty has the strangest bod
I use it when I'm feeling odd
This alienation may now dwindle
Since I can write a verse by Kindle!

The verse is cute, I should applause;
but I am peeved because
I asked a question; your reply
does not address the reason WHY.

I believe Win 7 and Win XP are both considered decent Windows OSes, from what I've heard.

My first experience with Windows was 3.5 - My favOrite was W98SE. Now I do Windows 7 (dragged kicking and screaming, away from 2000; ME; XP64; Vista).

Several months ago, I was given an Apple Ipad2 with W8 on it. It only took me 5 days to become so frustrated with the "yuppy", "insider", "you gotta be young and have a healthy brain"-ness of it all, to go back to my Win7.

I may be 69 years old, but my first computer was a Vic 20 and then a commodore 64. then 286, 386, 486, & PENTIUIMs... (And we thought we had died and gone to Modem heaven when we got the 56k modems.)

I've had them all!

But now, me, my laptop and its Win 7, will all go to the grave together!!!!

:o)

Thanks for your advice. I went with Win 7 and I'm now thankfully back on-line. (I'm not as experienced or tech-minded as you and the prospect of switching was daunting me.)
